New EM and HS Internship Program at the Bush School

This information just came in about an internship program that may be of interest to emergency management and homeland security students.  Information after the break.




The Bush School has just completed a Memorandum of Agreement with U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) affording our students the opportunity to apply for PACOM's extensive 2012 summer internship program opportunities.
** If you are interested in applying for any of these positions, please inform Matt Upton or Michael Cochran ASAP - PACOM will begin interviewing candidates this week, but has agreed to extend the deadline for qualified Bush School students.

USPACOM Headquarters is located in Honolulu, HI and is one of six U.S. Geographic Combatant Commands.  The command's strategic guidance includes five focus areas: 1) strengthening alliances and partnerships, 2) maturing the U.S.-China military-to-military relationship, 3) developing the U.S.-India strategic partnership, 4) preparing to respond to Korean Peninsula contingencies, and 5) countering transnational threats.

Some of the internship opportunities for this summer include positions in the following offices:

*         Foreign Policy Advisor
*         Public Diplomacy
*         Strategic Partnerships
*         Science & Technology
*         Cyber Security
